And even though it’s only high school, they seem destined for a Happily Ever After.
Until tragedy strikes—and this time, Justin’s not so lucky. Tara passes through her days as a shell of her former self: Justin’s dead, but she can still feel his presence, and she can’t seem to let him go.

my rating | my thoughts |
Wow! Is all I can say, I don't think there are adequate words to describe how much I loved this book and my feelings towards it. The story was absolutely beautiful, touching and just simply perfect. Whilst reading this book I was in tears the whole way through, some parts even had me sobbing! I have read a lot of love story's that revolve around young characters and none of them have touched me like Tara and Justin. None of them was as believable. The writing was suburb! I love being able to cry and laugh and be angry with just words on a page. This book wasn’t just a love story between two teens but so much more. It was how love can prevail even in the cause of death, how life is precious and how precious the people are in our lives and how one single moment or one single decision can change your whole life. I loved how the story was told, through the alternating perspectives of Tara and Justin. I loved being able to feel what both Tara and Justin where feeling and see what both of them had to face and endure to get back with each other. I feel that’s what made the book effective and so enjoyable and real. The whole concept of the In between really intrigued me. I liked how Olivia described it with guides, the black and white colours and the fact that there you no longer feel; pain, anger, love. It painted this clear image in my head. The question I keep asking myself is how have I never heard of this book before? How have I not heard of Olivia Pierce before? Because you Miss Pierce are an amazing and very talented author who has this ability to create such a wonderful story with incredible characters that have so much depth and are so well developed that when readers read your book that are fully captivated and engrossed, transported into another world, and only released from your hold when the story ends. This book was the perfect package. I could have not asked for any other ending! The ending had me smiling from ear to ear for days! Tara and Justin deserved to be happy and together. I guess Zerachiel isn’t such a bad guy after all. But I would have loved to know what happened to all the other characters, Caleb, Anton, Luke and Damaris? Besides that I want to say, keep on writing Olivia Pierce because I’ll be waiting for your next novel and trust me when I say I will be the first one to buy it! When I first saw this book on Net galley, I was instantly intrigued. I read the synopsis and something about it just pulled me in. I don’t think I ever expected to cry through an entire book but I did and I regret nothing! I highly recommend this book, it is….i don’t even know what to say. Just trust me in saying that it will be a book that you will not regret reading! A special thank you so Net galley for providing me with this book and continuously exposing me to new incredible authors. |
