And that ladies and gentlemen is how you write a New adult romance novel. Amazing amazing amazing!!! I absolutely loved this book, I didn't really expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The story was absolutely beautiful and extremely flirty and cute. The writing style and the switching between the point of views was done fantastically. The characters where so relatable and so much fun to read about. This book had so much depth for a contemporary, I love it. From the very beginning I just knew I would like Eric, his so sweet, kind and extremely good looking (even though he doesn't admit it). As the female lead I just adored Mia. I related to her so much, she devours in romance novels, is attached to her kindle twenty four seven, spends most of her time with fictional characters (don't we all) and is a hard core social network addict. The end was perfection, I wouldn't have ended it any other way. I was thoroughly satisfied and smiling from ear to ear. Overall I rate this book a 5 out of 5 star rating, I highly recommend this book to any one who loves cute, funny contemporary's with gorgeous Samoan guys! If I had one question for the author it would definitely be what happened to Scott, I am very curious. Did he end up finding Mia1? |

Okay where do I begin, I didn't necessarily like this book but I didn't completely hate it either. Reading this book was a bit like being on a roller coaster. The beginning was slow and hard to get into, the characters didn't leave very good first impressions. Then the book kind of picked up, I was beginning to get engrossed in the story but then near the end it slowly went down hill and just completely lost my interest. I really did try to like this book. Although the premise was not original I still love the idea of best friends falling in love with each (don't we all!) The characters where a big no for me. I just couldn't connect with them on any level because they would just aggravate and annoy me. Riley came off as a completely whiney, immature, annoying female heroin. Her constant bragging about her being single was excruciating to read about. It was like the mere thought of being single and being independent was such a bad thing. Don't get me started on Noah. The only sufficient word to describe someone like him is a selfish bastard! I can not believe Riley took him back a second time. What where you thinking women? The story line really didn't do anything for me, I felt I wasn't invested in the characters or their lives. The ending was fairly predictable as well. Throughout the story there where times I would just read sentences but the words just would not process. But enough of the negatives lets say some positives because the book was definitely filled with some of them to. I loved the jokes and sarcasm shared between Riley and Max it had me in fits of laughter on many occasions. I also really enjoyed reading Max's thoughts and how nervous he would get about doing things for Riley, I thought that was the cutest thing! I actually quite liked Max as a character I felt that although I can't relate to him perhaps other boys can. Even though he gave some horrible advice to Riley about 'what guys really like' I thought that was quite funny! Oh and before I forget I absolutely adored Evan he was by far my favorite character. He was hilarious, I loved how he read chick magazines and gave Max awesome ideas that could potentially "woo" Riley. Why doesn't Evan have a girlfriend? I was thinking maybe Audrey and Evan? Overall I rate this book a 2.5 out of 5. I definitely would recommend others to read this book, because they may have a different opinion. If your looking for a fast paced humorous novel containing immature, annoying heroin's that occasionally crack you up with fits of laughter this is the book for you. |
