Synopsis: Gwen’s life has been a rollercoaster since she discovered she was the Ruby, the final member of the secret time-traveling Circle of Twelve. In between searching through history for the other time-travelers and asking for a bit of their blood
(gross!), she’s been trying to figure out what all the mysteries and prophecies
surrounding the Circle really mean.
At least Gwen has plenty of help. Her best friend Lesley follows every lead diligently on the Internet. James the host teaches Gwen how to fit in at an eighteenth century party. And Xemerius, the gargoyle demon who has been following Gwen since he caught her kissing Gideon in a church, offers advice on everything. Oh, yes. And of course there is Gideon, the Diamond. One minute he’s very warm indeed; the next he’s freezing cold. Gwen’s not sure what’s going on there, but she’s pretty much destined to find out

my rating | my thoughtsThis is going to be quite a short review. I was actually contemplating whether I would do one in the first place, its not that I didn't like the book because I did like it. It's because there isn't much to discuss really. Sapphire Blue for me wasn't as enjoyable as Ruby Red. This book just lacked something for me, I don't know if it needed more action or a more a more interesting plot, it just needed something. In my opinion not very much happened in this book at all. Out of the entire book I can say I enjoyed the pilogue the most. All I have to say is how frustrating was Gideon in this book? His mood swings where insane, I some times thought he was by polar. I do feel sorry for Gwen at times because Gideon is hot then cold then hot again, geese make up your mind! And I don't care if this Count guy seems nice he still give me the creeps. I am not falling for his façade his trying to pull over Gwen. He wants her for something I just don't know what it is yet. I am quite excited to pick up the final book in the series Emerald green and see how everything is going to unfold. |
