Adrian Lesson by L.A Rose
Series: Stand Alone
Published: 25th of August 2014
Genre: Romance
Pages: 336
Format: E-book
Synopsis: If there’s one thing Cleo Reynolds
knows, it’s that she’s not into Adrian King. The son of a model with the looks to prove it, the experienced author of her school newspaper’s sex advice column, the cocky playboy with a hint of darkness. That Adrian
King.
Nope. Nuh-uh. No way.
The problem is, he’s very into her.
After accidentally flashing him, and slightly-less-accidentally-but-still-totally-unintentionally making out with him in front of the whole class, she expects to be called crazy. Instead, he asks
her out.
Cleo’s determined not to end up as another notch on his bedpost. Except she hasn’t done…you know…it in a while. (Read: ever.) And as a girl who pays her tuition by writing all the sex scenes in her roommate’s bestselling romance series, the lack of inspiration has served up a fat slice of writer’s block.
Until her roommate proposes that Cleo and Adrian act out all the steamy scenes in her book.
It’s just research. No feelings involved.
Nope. Nuh-uh.
No way.

my rating | my thoughtsYou know your reading a good book when you literally sit there for four hours straight reading the whole thing! Adrian Lessons was an extremely enjoyable, funny, sexy, romantic book that you can just devour. It's so easy to get into and so easy to get pulled into the hilarious plotline. I adored the main characters in this book. Cleo was hilarious and I definitely share her obsession with tacos. Cleo is an amazing friend, she definitely takes the award for the best apology ever! I would have forgave her a lot earlier (& yes Marie I am taking to you). Cleo is also very conscious of her self and not really sure why someone like Adrian would chose her, she is very easy to relate to, for many of us in that way. Then comes Adrian his got it all going for him, the looks, the personality, the money and the charm. Although I did think his name the 'sex king' was a bit corny but then again it is Adrian. I have read my fair share of contemporary new adult romances and I can say I've never read a book like this before. The premise of Adrian Lessons was very original! I loved the whole idea of Cleo having to physically act out the scenes of Maries book in order to fix her writers block. Although to some that may be stressing or a waste of time but I guarantee you that Cleo was not complaining! (she had Adrian accompany her the whole time!) I love being able to pick up a book with a storyline that I haven't read before, its very refreshing. I would like to give a thumbs up to L.A Rose for writing some of the best steamy and sexy romance scenes ever! I could literally feel the sexual tension between both Cleo and Adrian. The chemistry between them was so evident. Thankfully I didn't read this book in public because I cant even tell you the number of times I laughed out loud. I for one love books that make you smile, laugh out loud and make you continuously say weird things because of all the cute romantics. I thought the writing style was fantastic it was different but good different. L.A Rose has this ability to tell a story but also involve and connect the readers into it as well. I also adored the dialogue between the main characters. They had me in fits of laughter on so many occasions I'm definitely adding Adrian to my list of fictional boyfriends. I can tell you his pretty high on that list. When L.A Rose first approached me and asked me to have look at her book I just had to say yes for three reason. Firstly because she personally approached me and was so sweet and nice that I couldn't say no. Secondly I love being able to help out new very talented authors. And thirdly her book just sounded amazing and was something that was right up my alley. For your first book, L.A Rose I can say you have done a wonderful job in writing and putting together this book! I would rate Adrian Lessons a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend this book if your feeling for a feel good, fast paced, funny, NA contemporary romance. And before I forget, to answer you question Adrian, Just ask her I guarantee it doesn't matter if you propose under the stars or take her somewhere exotic she will say yes! |
