I can't judge nor compare and contrast this movie to the book The Maze Runner by James Dashner as I haven't yet read it nor plan to. But what I can say with just judging the film on its own was that it was AMAZING!. And not to sound like a big cliché but this movie had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. I wasn't very familiar with the plot of this film, I went into it knowing next to nothing. Which in turn gave me a great surprise. I thought the plot was very original, different, unique and very thrilling!
It is full of action, suspense and mystery. The story line was very easy to follow and grasped my attention the whole way through. I thought the build up to uncover what the Maze was and why they where there was fantastic, although I feel the ending was a little bit confusing.
I thought the film makers did a great job in the whole set up of the film, it was very well done.
And yes you guys are probably waiting for me to say this, Dylan Obrien was phenomenal. His acting skills continue to amaze me. I am definitely anxiously waiting for the next movie. I most definitely recommend this one to be watched!

I can admit that it was the trailer that convinced me to go and watch this film. I am happy to say that it didn't disappoint. We all know that there has been a number of different adaptations done on the story of Dracula, all considering I thought this film was executed or somewhat retold quite well.
There was definitely a hero vibe emitting from Dracula. Despite his vampire dark side.
The highlights of the film was definitely all the scenes at which Dracula unleashes his new profound powers over the enemies armies. The whole bat thing was very intriguing and really cool! The CGI in this film was done quite well.
There where defiantly parts in the film that required a lot more development and perhaps world building for example the whole back story of the lead vampire and the mythology that went with that could have been explained or elaborated a little more.
The ending definitely hinted of a second film, so we shall see.
Overall Dracula Untold was a very enjoyable film with both action and adventure with a bit of horror and a sprinkle of darkness.
